Envision Greatness

Digg me

When you were a child, someone invariably asked you what you wanted to be when you grow up.  Maybe you knew, maybe you didn’t.  The funny—and crazy—thing is that many people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s still to this day ask themselves the exact same thing.  And if they’re still asking that question, they probably still don’t know the answer.  If this applies to you, it’s time to figure it out.  Spend whatever time it takes to think it through.  Decide what you want.  Envision greatness.  And then make your future happen.  It’s never too late to start.

Don’t Give Up

Many people undertake new ventures with less than realistic ideas about what to expect.  They fall for the marketing hype put out there for that exact purpose and get involved with something they know little about.  So step one is to make sure you understand what it is you’re doing, and how you plan on doing it.  Provided that the opportunity you are pursuing is legitimate, and provided that you’ve thought through a plan, the only thing left to do is make it happen.  But it will never go as fast as you had hoped.  That’s okay—success will come.  Just don’t give up.

Work Your Plan

Digg me

Business consultants sometimes tell you to “plan your work, and work your plan.”  They’ll also tell you that “failing to plan is like planning to fail.”  As trite and simplistic as those statements may be, they’re also true.  If you dream of becoming a successful internet entrepreneur, create a business plan.  It should explain—primarily to yourself—what it is you are trying to do, and how you intend to do it.  It doesn’t need to be formal nor complicated.  But it does need to be accurate.  Once your plan is in place, go to work and make it happen.

Nothing is Easy

Digg me

Marketing products and services on the internet is simple—but not easy.  In fact, when thinking about life in general, nothing worth achieving is easy.  If you’re exceptionally gifted in certain areas some things might be easier for you to accomplish than for others.  But if you do whatever it is you do well, then you probably do it with passion.  And whenever you put all of your passion into your actions, it’s never easy.  But it is fun.  As an internet marketer, you can expect to work hard for your success.  But you can also expect to have fun doing it.
